The Triad Board of Education has announced that Katie Organ has accepted the position of Chief Academic Officer (CAO), effective August 1.
Organ brings 15 years of experience in education to her new leadership role. She currently serves as Triad Local Schools’ District Literacy Coach and has held a variety of positions throughout her career, including reading intervention teacher, preschool director, kindergarten teacher, and preschool teacher.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Reading Education (K–12) and is a certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist. Organ is also pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, further strengthening her expertise in instructional leadership and school improvement.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Organ is a Triad parent with three children enrolled in the district. District officials said her deep connection to the community, passion for student achievement, and commitment to high-quality instruction make her an excellent fit for the position.
As Chief Academic Officer, Organ will oversee the district’s academic programs and instructional initiatives. The role includes leading curriculum development, supporting teacher professional growth, analyzing student achievement data, ensuring compliance with state educational standards, and working closely with school administrators to strengthen teaching and learning across the district.
In K-12 school districts, the Chief Academic Officer serves as a key member of the superintendent’s leadership team, providing strategic direction for curriculum, instruction, assessment, and academic achievement.
Organ will officially begin her new role on August 1.
