The Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash.
The crash happened Saturday afternoon, just before 4:00 p.m., at the intersection of Cardo Road and Dawson Road in Shelby County.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 2021 Dodge Durango, operated by Tre’Sean L. Clemons, 25, Kettering, was traveling west on Cardo Road.
The Dodge was actively fleeing and being pursued by the Sidney Police Department at the time of the crash.
While fleeing west on Cardo Road, the Dodge traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned.
Clemons was ejected from the Dodge at the time of the crash and succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.
Clemons’ passenger, Aaliyah Davis, 19, Piqua, was transported by CareFlight Air and Mobile Services to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries.
The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Sidney Police Department, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Loramie Fire & Rescue, CareFlight Air and Mobile Services, Shelby County Coroner’s Office, and Bushnell’s Collison & Towing.
