Bellefontaine Police arrested a Troy man Wednesday afternoon after an incident on Clark Avenue.
Officers were called to the home just before 1:00 PM after a caller reported that a man was assaulting the victim.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with 33-year-old Cody Maynard, who was standing in the front yard.
Maynard told officers he had come to the property to retrieve his belongings.
He admitted he had moved out of the residence two months earlier, but claimed his name was still on the house.
The victim reported that Maynard tried to enter the residence without permission, shoving them against a wall on the porch before forcing his way inside.
They went on to say that Maynard shoved them again while trying to access a bedroom closet.
Maynard was then placed under arrest and was transported to the Logan County Jail, where he faces charges of burglary.
