According to Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies, a 2023 Freightliner box truck struck the viaduct on Miami Street in DeGraff on Thursday at 11:45 a.m. after the driver did not realize the vehicle was too tall to pass under the bridge.
The truck was operated by Mason George, 23, of Westerville.
George was issued a citation for traffic control devices for failing to heed the sign on the bridge.
The truck sustained minor damage, but George was not injured, and CSX officials reported that the bridge itself was not damaged.
