Tucker Munz, a 2021 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, is steadily becoming a well-regarded figure in Bellefontaine’s local music scene.
Since teaching himself guitar via online apps during the 2020 COVID shutdown, he has quickly evolved into a standout performer known for his raspy voice and heartfelt folk-country sound.
At just 22 years old, Munz has already built a modest but growing following.
He made his debut at the Bellefontaine Moose Lodge in 2022 and has since taken the stage at venues across Logan County and beyond, including cities such as Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, and even the island of Put-in-Bay.
Musically, he’s drawn to a rich blend of red-dirt country, rock, and acoustic folk, citing influences like Tyler Childers, Zach Bryan, Flatland Cavalry, Sam Barber, and even grunge greats like Nirvana and Foo Fighters.
His performances often feature covers of artists such as Tyler Childers, Zach Bryan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Marshall Tucker Band, along with his own originals.
Munz joined News Director April King on Sunday morning on Listen Up!
