Two crashes reported Tuesday on West Sandusky

The Bellefontaine Police Department handled two separate crashes Tuesday afternoon on West Sandusky Avenue.

The first crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Sandusky Avenue and Main Street.

According to police, a 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 36-year-old Kelsea O’Connor was stopped at a red light on West Sandusky Avenue when a 2008 Ford Escape driven by Timothy Predmore struck the rear of the Tahoe.

Predmore was cited for speeding and assured clear distance ahead.

He was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by the Bellefontaine Fire Department for suspected minor injuries.

The second crash occurred on West Sandusky Avenue near Hayes Street.

Police said a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 30-year-old Alayna Dickerson of Bellefontaine was stopped in traffic at a red light.

A 2019 Kia Stinger operated by 40-year-old Debra Flowers of Rushsylvania was stopped behind the Malibu.

When the light turned green, Flowers took her foot off the brake, and the Kia slowly rolled forward into the rear of the Malibu.

No injuries were reported in the second crash.

Flowers was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
