Two injured in US 68 crash; driver cited for DUI

According to a report from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, just before 5:00 p.m., a traffic crash occurred on US 68 involving two Chevrolet vans.

The crash involved a 2007 Chevrolet van driven by Jack Baumbarger,70, of Custar, Ohio, and a 2024 Chevrolet van driven by Richie Magann, 62, of Kenton.

Baumbarger’s van rear-ended Magann’s vehicle while traveling northbound.

After the collision, Baumbarger’s van continued off the roadway and came to rest in a creek.

Baumbarger was transported by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for possible injuries.

Magann was also transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Rushcreek EMS for possible injuries.

According to the report, Baumbarger was driving 65 miles per hour in a 55 MPH zone at the time of the crash.

He was issued a citation for driving under the influence.
