Two Bellefontaine men were arrested Saturday night after police responded to a report of an assault.

Bellefontaine Police were called to a home on West Brown Avenue around 8:30 p.m. after a report that Damon Sims, 57, had hit 70-year-old Russell Lusby.

When officers arrived, Sims was seen running toward the back of the house but was quickly found and brought to the front.

Lusby told police he had been attacked, and a neighbor showed officers a video confirming that Sims struck Lusby after a heated argument.

Although Lusby chose not to press assault charges, officers noted both men had been warned earlier that day for a separate verbal altercation.

Because of their repeated behavior, both Sims and Lusby were arrested for persistent disorderly conduct and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
