In Bellefontaine, two Republican candidates are going head-to-head in a friendly primary race for the City Council’s First Ward seat.

Silas Augsburger and Devin Palmer are both seeking the Republican nomination and will face off in the upcoming primary election.

The winner will go on to challenge Democrat Sarah Lewis in the general election this fall.

Augsburger, a Logan County native, is a practicing attorney in the area.

Palmer works as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and is active in her church community at Vineyard Christian Fellowship, where she serves in the children’s ministry.
