A two-vehicle accident in Bellefontaine led to two people being taken to Mary Rutan Hospital last Wednesday afternoon around 2:20.
The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that David East, 60, of Bellefontaine, was driving a Toyota Scion xB south on North Troy Street.
Stacey Ransom, 49, of Delaware, was driving a Honda Pilot east on West Sandusky Avenue.
East failed to stop at a stop sign and stuck Ransom.
Both East and Ransom had suspected serious injuries. They were transported by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital.
East was not wearing a seat belt.
Both vehicles had heavy damage.
Alcohol or drugs are suspected to be a factor.
The crash remains under investigation pending blood test results from East.
