***UPDATE***
The Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle serious injury crash that happened yesterday at approximately 2:07 PM on US 33 near Mile Post 3 in Logan County.
A 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe operated by Lavern L. Schroyer, 70, of Marysville was traveling southeast on US 33. A 2009 Kenworth tractor and trailer operated by David S. Jones, 51, of Galloway was stopped on US 33 due to a previous crash. Schroyer failed to stop in time and struck Jones from the rear. Jones did not report any injuries from the crash. Schroyer was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries by Indian Lake E.M.S.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Township Police Department, Indian Joint Fire Department, Lakeview Fire Department, Lakeview Emergency Medical Services, Wren’s Towing, Englewood Towing, and Logan County O.D.O.T.
All assisting agencies and services were instrumental in the scene investigation and clearing the scene.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash and all occupants were found to be wearing their safety belts.
The Patrol reminds motorists to be vigilant when operating a motor vehicle.

A two-vehicle crash on US33 near State Route 235 this afternoon has closed US33 in Lakeview.
It happened around 2 o’clock this afternoon when a passenger vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck. Identification of those involved has not been released. Victims are being transported to local hospitals for care.
