Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash Tuesday, shortly before noon, at the intersection of State Route 117 and State Route 273.
According to the crash report, Shawn Detwiler, 62, of Lakeview, was driving a Dodge Journey southbound on State Route 117.
While attempting to make a left turn onto State Route 273, Detwiler slowed down but was struck from behind by a Mercedes-Benz driven by Renee Fathy, 55, of New Haven, Indiana.
Fathy then went off the left side of the road and struck a stop sign along State Route 273.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The damage to both vehicles was reported as minor.
Fathy was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
