A two-vehicle crash Thursday just after 3 p.m. on North Main Street sent multiple people to the hospital.
Police say 76-year-old Paul Martin of Springfield was driving north in a 2005 Honda Accord when his car drifted out of its lane, moved into the turn lane, and then crossed left of center into oncoming traffic near Gunntown Road.
Martin’s vehicle struck a southbound 2016 Kia Forte head-on.
The Kia was driven by 73-year-old Robin Jones, also of Springfield.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.
All occupants were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for evaluation of possible injuries.
Bellefontaine EMS transported Martin, while Mac-O-Chee EMS transported Jones.
Both cars were towed from the scene.
Martin was cited for a marked-lanes violation.
A two-vehicle crash slowed traffic at the intersection of South Main Street and Gunntown Road in Bellefontaine Thursday afternoon, shortly after 3:00 PM.
Bellefontaine Police, EMS, and Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene.
At least one person was injured and transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.
