Saturday night, just before 10:00 p.m., Bellefontaine police responded to a report of an underage party at a home on East Williams Avenue.
The gathering had been advertised on social media and involved alcohol and marijuana.
When officers arrived, they observed teens attempting to hide or leave the residence and detected a strong odor of marijuana.
Loud music was coming from the garage, and alcoholic beverages were visible.
A total of 15 minors were at the party, many showing signs of alcohol consumption, including slurred speech, poor balance, and the smell of alcohol.
Some admitted to drinking or using marijuana.
Police confiscated the alcohol and marijuana as evidence.
All juveniles were briefly detained, identified, and released to their parents or guardians.
Charges are being referred to the juvenile prosecutor’s office for review.
