After nearly 12 years of service, Kerry Pedraza will step down from her role as executive director of United Way of Clark, Champaign, and Madison Counties, effective August 15, 2025.

“It has been one of the greatest honors of my career to serve alongside dedicated staff, passionate partners, and generous supporters who believe deeply in the power of community,” said Pedraza. “While transitions are never easy, I leave with full confidence in the strength of the United Way team and the continued momentum behind our mission.”

Pedraza’s tenure has been marked by a strong focus on community collaboration, responsive investment strategies and a steadfast commitment to helping every individual in the region thrive.

Under her leadership, UWCCMC strengthened its ability to respond to local needs and build sustainable impact across early childhood development, crisis response, and long-term community stability.

This week, the UWCCMC board of directors approved Natalie Driscoll as the organization’s interim executive director.

Driscoll currently serves as UWCCMC’s director of community impact and has nearly two decades of experience in communications, journalism, and community engagement.

“Natalie is a respected leader with deep roots in our community,” said Pedraza. “Her passion for servant leadership and track record of collaboration make her well-positioned to guide United Way through this next chapter.”

Prior to joining UWCCMC in January 2024, Driscoll led her own marketing and communications consulting business, during which time she also managed The Hub – Springfield, an online community magazine.

She also previously worked for the Springfield News-Sun and Miami Valley Hospital.

A resident of Clark County for more than 20 years, Driscoll has served on numerous local boards and remains actively involved in organizations that support children and families.

“It’s an honor to step into this interim role and continue the important work United Way is doing across Clark, Champaign and Madison Counties,” said Driscoll. “Kerry’s leadership has built a strong foundation for our organization, and I’m committed to building on that momentum by working alongside our team, partners and community members to ensure that every person has the opportunity to thrive.”

The board of directors will begin a comprehensive internal and external search for a permanent executive director.

Updates on the search will be shared in the coming weeks.
