The Live United Radiothon took place on Friday morning on Mix 98.3 WPKO, bringing together local organizations and the Logan County community to raise funds for important programs that support individuals and families in need.
United Way of Logan County’s Director, Dave Bezusko, hosted the event, which featured a group of beneficiaries from various organizations that provide essential services throughout the county.
Among the featured guests were representatives from Peak of Hope Homeless Shelter, Harwood Initiative, Lutheran Community Service, Discovery Riders, Warm Clothes for Kids, Recovery Zone, Green Hills Community, Habitat for Humanity, TCN/Soteria House Domestic Violence Shelter, and Journey Living Ministries.
These organizations rely on community support to help meet the needs of the area’s most vulnerable populations, and the Radiothon serves as an important fundraising tool to continue their efforts.
Bezusko talks about the event and how it went this year:
Over the years, the Live United Radiothon has seen significant contributions from the local community.
Past totals include: $9,248 in 2015, $7,100 in 2016, $7,676.50 in 2017, $9,830 in 2018, $10,625 in 2019, $14,682.36 in 2020, $15,026.03 in 2021, $8,900 in 2022, $10,951.85 in 2023, and in 2024 $10,150 was raised.

The Radiothon continues to play a vital role in connecting the community to the programs that make a difference in people’s lives.
As the event grows each year, so does the impact it has on the lives of those in need throughout Logan County.
