The Urbana City Council met in regular session Tuesday evening.
Two first-reading initiatives were passed during the meeting.
The first authorized participation in the national Purdue opioid settlement agreement and pursuant to the OneOhio Memorandum of Understanding. This would give the city of Urbana a cut of the money the State of Ohio is receiving from the settlement.
The second motion was to execute an agreement offer for the 2025 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) at the Grimes Field Airport.
Urbana City Council President Dwight Paul spoke about what each motion means for the city.
