The Urbana City School District announced Thursday that their schools will be closed on Friday, February 14, due to a lack of available staff.
The planned Valentine’s Day parties at the elementary school will instead be a card exchange when school reopens.
Scheduled practices and competitions on Friday and over the weekend may still take place depending on the weather and road conditions.
Following the holiday on Monday, school will resume on Tuesday, February 18.
