The Urbana Fire Division is recognizing Firefighter Dillon Stevens for earning his State of Ohio Fire Safety Inspector certification through the Ohio Fire Academy.

The course provided training in the role of a fire inspector in code enforcement, general fire prevention practices, and fire safety requirements involving hazardous materials, electrical systems, and fire protection systems.

Stevens has been in the fire service for more than a decade, beginning as a cadet while in high school. He is a Firefighter II/Paramedic and currently lives in New Carlisle, but plans to move to the Urbana area.

Outside of the fire service, Stevens enjoys camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles. One of his goals with the Urbana Fire Division is to earn his rescue technician certification.

The Urbana Fire Division congratulated Stevens on the accomplishment and his continued professional development.
