The Castle Chapter of the National Honor Society at Urbana High School held its annual induction ceremony on Monday, October 13, welcoming 26 new members.
This year’s inductees represent some of the school’s top achievers, including state, national, and international award winners, OHSAA state champions, NCAA commits, record-setting athletes, small business owners, and students with aspirations to become future doctors, lawyers, and community leaders.
New members were selected by the faculty advisory committee based on their academic record, application materials, and teacher recommendations. To qualify, students must maintain at least a 3.3 GPA and demonstrate the NHS pillars of Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. Senior officers each spoke during the ceremony, reflecting on the meaning of those four pillars.
