Urbana man arrested after domestic incident

A man was arrested after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance Monday evening at the 4000 block of Cedar Creek Road in Urbana.

According to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Evan McCall of Urbana was taken into custody after officers responded to a domestic incident Tuesday afternoon. He charged with domestic violence, aggravated menacing, resisting arrest, and obstructing official business.

Deputies said an Ozark Trail knife was collected as evidence.

McCall was taken to the Tri-County Jail and later appeared in court, where his bond was set at $5,000.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 29 at 8:30 a.m.
