A 20-year-old man from Urbana was arrested Thursday morning after deputies responded to reports of a man breaking windows and trying to enter a home on Springfield Urbana Pike.
According to a Champaign County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of Springfield Urbana Pike around 9:37 a.m. after receiving the call.
The suspect, identified as Vincent Kirkmeyer, 20, of Urbana, was taken into custody at 10:05 a.m.
Kirkmeyer is charged with theft, burglary, criminal damaging and endangering, and aggravated trespass, according to the report.
No injuries were reported. The case remains under investigation by the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.
