An Urbana man was arrested Sunday evening on a burglary charge.
At 4:59 p.m., Urbana police responded to an incident on South Main Street of a man kicking in an apartment door and proceeding to fight a man inside the residence.
Officers arrived at the scene to find 33-year-old Eric Karg fighting with 39-year-old Kevin Brown. Police learned Karg had kicked in the door to the apartment that belonged to his ex-girlfriend, 41-year-old Brandy Kizer. The men were separated, and Karg was taken into custody.
Karg was booked into the Tri-County Regional Jail and made his initial appearance in the Urbana Municipal Court yesterday. He is facing a felony-2 criminal charge of burglary. The preliminary hearing for Karg is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19.
