A traffic stop Tuesday led to the arrest of a 40-year-old Urbana man on multiple charges related to impaired driving.
According to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, deputies pulled over a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am on State Route 55 after noticing signs of driver impairment.
The driver, identified as Timothy Nawman, reportedly showed several signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests at the scene.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Tri-County Jail.
Nawman is being held on charges including operating a vehicle under the influence, driving under suspension, possession of an open container, left of center, and marked lanes violations.
