An investigation into an assault in Urbana Township has resulted in charges and upcoming court proceedings in Champaign County Municipal Court.
Deputies were called in August to a home on the 3900 block of Pisgah Road following a report of an assault.
George Hawkins, 48, of Urbana, appeared for arraignment on Monday. He was issued a $100,000 bond with conditions, including no contact with the victim and GPS monitoring before the bond could be posted.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 24, 2025, at 1 p.m. The case remains under investigation.
