An Urbana man suffered minor injuries in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon in Champaign County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 3:45 p.m. on September 21 along State Route 161, just south of milepost 1 in Union Township.
Troopers say 65-year-old Daniel Shockey was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Limited southwest when he lost control and went off the right side of the roadway.
Shockey was transported by ground ambulance to Mercy Health – Urbana Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Troopers determined he was at fault and cited him for failure to maintain reasonable control of a motor vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation by the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
