According to the following press release, the Urbana City School District has been selected by the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission for a statewide video showcase highlighting outstanding school facilities and their impact on student learning.
The Urbana City School District is proud to announce that the Urbana Junior High and Elementary School has been selected by the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission to be featured in a new video highlighting outstanding school facilities across Ohio and the positive impact they have on students and learning.
As one of a small number of schools statewide chosen for this initiative, the Urbana Junior High and Elementary School will be showcased as an example of best practices in school planning, design, and construction, as well as programs that support student-centered learning environments.
In early May, a small filming crew from OFCC’s production partner, G2O, will be on campus for a one-day video shoot. The final videos will be featured on the OFCC website and social media channels to highlight exemplary Ohio schools. Copies will also be shared with the Urbana City School District for use in district and school communications.
“We are honored to be recognized by OFCC and are proud of the learning environment our staff, students, and community have created together,” said Charles Thiel, Superintendent of Urbana City Schools. “This video will allow us to showcase how our facilities support innovative teaching and foster student success.”
