According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at 4:15 PM Thursday, a 2022 Ford F-350 operated by Justin Kreutzer, 29, of Woodstock, was traveling south on County Road 57 at US 33 when he failed to yield when crossing US 33.

Kreutzer then struck a 2020 Chrysler 300 that was traveling eastbound on US 33, operated by Adam Holton, 41, of Lakeview.

Holton’s vehicle then traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturning and coming to a final rest on its top.

He was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by EMS with minor injuries.

Kreutzer sustained minor injuries but was not transported.

Both drivers were wearing their safety belts at the time of the crash.

US 33 was closed while crews worked the scene, cleaned up debris, and towed vehicles.

Kreutzer was cited for failure to yield.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is investigating this intersection due to the large number of accidents in recent years.

Alternative pass-through options are being considered since it is such an active area.
