If I were principal for a day: I would take my friends to a sporting event, like a Celtics or Bengals game.

Favorite school memory: Getting the opportunity to play basketball with my dad, brother, and friends.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My dad and grandma.

Lately, I have been reading: My basketball playbook and goals for upcoming games.

My advice to parents: Encourage your kids to play sports at a young age.

My biggest regret: I should have picked on my brother Maddox more than I did.

Next year: Attending college (either Ohio State, Bowling Green or Miami).

Rylan Norviel is the daughter of Jim and Shauna Norviel of Zanesfield.

School activities and awards: Student Government President, Spanish Club President, Spanish NHS President, National Honor Society, Roots, Quiz Bowl, Garden Club, Homecoming Court, 2x CBC Athlete of the Month, Certificate of Excellence, BPA Top 10, CBC Honor Student, Varsity Soccer, Soccer team captain, First Team All-Conference & First Team All-District for Soccer, Varsity Basketball, Basketball team captain, Varsity Softball, First Team All-Conference & Honorable Mention All-District for Softball, Excellence rating at District Science Fair, Citizenship Award, and 2x Honda Academic Breakfast participant.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: Mom, dad, and grandma.

Lately, I have been reading: Anatomy textbook.

My advice to parents: Perfection doesn’t exist. So, look at their effort instead of stressing a perfect result.

My biggest regret: Stressing out over things that are not in my control.

Next year: Attending the University of Findlay to become a pharmacist with a specialization in cancer research, along with playing collegiate softball.
