A man wanted on an outstanding warrant was arrested early Friday morning after Bellefontaine police found suspected methamphetamine inside his vehicle.
According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, an officer spotted a white Chevrolet pickup parked in the Walmart parking lot around 1:20 a.m. Friday.
The truck matched one known to be driven by Kyle Warren, 50, of Bellefontaine, who had an active warrant out of Union County.
Officers approached the truck and ordered Warren to put his hands outside the window before taking him into custody.
While searching the truck, officers found a glove under the driver’s seat containing a glass pipe with residue and a small plastic bag containing suspected crystal methamphetamine.
Police say a field test returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
A further search of the vehicle uncovered another glass pipe, a digital scale, and a cellphone, which were seized as evidence.
Warren was transported to the Logan County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The suspected methamphetamine will be sent to a crime lab for further testing.
