School Resource Officer Logan Miller was awarded the Officer of the Year award.

Butch & Cheryl Dilbone

Officer Miller has worked tirelessly to build rapport with students and has established a balance between holding students accountable while also demonstrating that he cares for their overall well-being. Indian Lake students are learning how to interact with police officers in a positive manner, which will pay dividends for years to come.

Officer Miller also immediately immersed himself in professional development opportunities to further his knowledge of School Resource Officer best practices and safety protocols to ensure the safety of staff and students.

Butch and Cheryl Dilbone, both Washington Township residents, received the Citizen of the Year award.

Cheryl and Butch were instrumental in the passage of the most recent Washington Township Police Department tax levy.

They tirelessly walked the streets, knocked on doors, and educated residents on the proposed tax levy.

Their efforts led to the tax levy passing by nearly 70%.

Cheryl and Butch are always ready to step up and help out wherever they can.

They are true pillars of the Washington Township community.
