Washington Township Police arrest man on drug charges

Washington Township police arrested Jason Vancleve, 44, on Wednesday night on multiple drug-related charges.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Township Road 239 near U.S. Route 33 for an equipment violation.

Vancleve, of Van Wert, showed signs of drug use during the stop and admitted to having methamphetamine in his vehicle.

During a vehicle search, officers found the methamphetamine, a needle used for injection, and a pipe used for consumption.

Vancleve was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.

He faces charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vancleve is currently being held at the Logan County Jail.
