Washington Township Police Arrest Three Over Busy Weekend

The Washington Township Police Department arrested three people over the weekend.

Friday, police conducted a traffic stop for a window tint violation. Eric Mckee of Michigan was overly nervous and showed signs of drug use.

K9 Bruno was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle. After a probable cause search was conducted, methamphetamine and a pipe were located.

Mckee was taken into custody and charged with possession of bulk methamphetamine & drug paraphernalia.

Saturday, officers stopped Kelly Moore of Columbus on State Route 708 for an equipment violation.

Upon making contact with Moore, she admitted that there was marijuana in the vehicle.

Later, she admitted to having concealed drugs on her person and removed fentanyl and scheduled II controlled pills.

Moore was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail where she was charged with possession of fentanyl and possession of a controlled substance.

Early Sunday morning, police stopped Deborah Taylor of Russells Point for operating her vehicle without headlights on.

Upon making contact with Taylor, signs of impairment were observed. Taylor submitted to field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for OVI.

Taylor was transported to the Logan County Jail where she refused to submit a breath test and was charged with OVI & headlights required.
