The Washington Township Police Department gave it their best effort Thursday at Indian Lake High School, but couldn’t keep up with the students during a charity dodgeball tournament held at the school.
Officers traded their badges for dodgeballs and took the court in a friendly matchup against students as part of the community event.
While the department managed to win three games, the student teams ultimately came out on top.
Representing law enforcement on the court were Logan County Deputy Josh Core, along with Washington Township officers Earl Wisener, Travis Davidson, SRO JR Brenner, Chief Michael Thompson, and Officer Chuck Wirick.
Despite the loss, spirits remained high.
Chief Thompson took the defeat in stride, joking afterward, “Training begins tomorrow.”
In addition to the friendly competition, the event raised $600 for charity.
