Washington Township Police nab two for OVI

The Washington Township Police Department made two separate OVI arrests over the weekend within a 90-minute span.

In the first stop, officers pulled over Gregory Kiser, 63, of Bellefontaine, just after 7:30 Saturday night on Lincoln Boulevard for multiple marked lane violations. Kiser was also observed missing his turn into a business and driving through the grass from one business to another.

Upon making contact, authorities observed signs of impairment.

Kiser admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the day.

He failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for OVI.

Kiser was transported to the Logan County Jail where he submitted a breath test which resulted in a .157 BAC.

He was charged with OVI, driving under suspension, and marked lanes.

Kiser has had four prior OVI arrests.

He was released to a sober driver.

The second arrest occurred just after 10 o’clock Saturday night when officers stopped Keith Egloff, 48, of Lithopolis, for a headlight violation.

Authorities noticed signs of impairment.

Egloff failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for OVI.

He was taken to the Logan County Jail and submitted to a breath test which resulted in a .200 BAC.

Egloff was charged with OVI and no headlights.

He was released to a sober driver.
