Officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department observed Michael Lamb, 35, pass by the Bellefontaine Fire Department on a bicycle, eastbound on West Sandusky Avenue, Tuesday morning around 12:15.
Lamb had a warrant for his arrest out of Champaign County.
Officers found him walking into Speedway and advised him he had a warrant for his arrest.
Police saw that he had a knife sheath with a knife on his belt. Officers removed the knife. When officers asked if he had any other weapons on him, he stated he had a taser, which was removed. When asked if he had anything illegal on him, he handed the officer a broken meth pipe. He stated he had picked the pipe up off the ground when he arrived at Speedway.
Police began a search of Lamb’s person and located a bag of drugs from his pocket. He eventually said that the substance was meth.
The rest of the search did not uncover any other illegal contraband from Lamb or his bookbag.
Lamb was transported to the Logan County Jail.
At the jail, corrections staff recovered another broken meth pipe stem from Lamb’s bookbag.
Lamb was lodged for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and his failure to appear warrant.
