The West Liberty Village Council had a short agenda on Monday night.
Councilwomen Jayne Griffith and Shannon Maier were absent.
To start the meeting, minutes from June 23rd and bills of $121,401.87 were approved.
Next, the council discussed the alley project presented by the West Liberty Business Association on June 23rd.
Council agreed to draft an ordinance to close the alley to be filled with patio sets, LED lights, an oversized chair, benches, flower arrangements, and a large tic-tac-toe set.

Council then went into executive session to discuss ORC 121.22 Section(G)(1) to consider employee compensation.
The meeting resumed, and resolution 2025 R9 was passed.
Old business included:
- Plan to install a civic sign in October
- No update yet on liability insurance
- The application was sent to FEMA for flood insurance
- Council members Jayne, Alyssa, Trent, and Jeanette need to run again this year
According to the new business, the Clerk will be on vacation from July 22nd to the 25th.

- West Liberty Garden Tour on July 26th
- Ice Cream Social for Baby Hudson Alig on July 26th
- Next West Liberty Council meeting on July 28th
