The annual West Liberty Fire Sales will be held on Saturday.
This beloved village tradition was first held in response to the devastating fire of 1880 that destroyed much of the downtown area.
The event, traditionally held on the third Saturday in May, features yard and garage sales throughout the town.
The sales span the entire village and run from early morning until 5 p.m.
Bargain hunters can explore yard and garage sales across town, with convenient port-o-johns and public restrooms available throughout.
The West Liberty Business Association will provide portable restrooms at four locations:
- 205 N. Detroit Street
- 416 Washington Street
- 412 W. Baird Street
- 201 S. Detroit Street
Public restrooms are also available at Town Hall and Lions Club Park.
If you are traveling through the village, local law enforcement reminds you to be cautious.
