Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 4000 block of Alpine Parkway to investigate a domestic involving an assault Friday morning around 10:15. Authorities were informed that the male, Teddy Stanley II, 48, had attempted to take the couple’s child and assaulted and choked a female.

The victim informed authorities that she and Stanley had gotten into an argument and began pushing each other. She stated that he came at her “like he was going to smack her”, so she “instinctively struck his left arm”. She said that Stanley slapped her in the face, and he took their two-year-old child and tried to leave the residence.

The victim stated she pulled him back into the residence and he put the child down. Stanley put her in a headlock and choked her, causing her to pass out. He then went outside and left with his mother.

Authorities were following a silver Jeep that had come from the Mad River Mountain area, driven by Stanley. Deputies stopped him on Township Road 164.

Stanley was placed under arrest for domestic violence.

He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

The victim was issued a summons in lieu of arrest for domestic violence.

She was treated and transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Tri-Valley EMS. She was then transferred to Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
