Saturday afternoon, the West Liberty Police Department responded to a single-vehicle injury crash on US Rt 68, just north of County Road 5.
The vehicle, driven by 28-year-old Kevin Lycans, of Urbana, was traveling southbound when he lost control and struck a guardrail, causing significant damage.
Emergency responders from Mac-o-Chee EMS evaluated Lycans at the scene, and due to the severity of his injuries, he was flown by Medflight to Grant Hospital for further treatment.
The crash is currently under investigation.
