On Monday, around 4:00 p.m., the West Liberty Fire Department was called to the 100 block of South Detroit Street for a bathroom fire.
When firefighters arrived, they saw no visible flames but went inside to check things out.
They quickly found a small fire in the ceiling of a second-floor bathroom.
The fire was put out by 4:07 p.m. and was contained to a ceiling vent and insulation above.
After the fire was out, firefighters made sure everything was safe and investigated the cause.
