The excitement is building as West Liberty-Salem prepares for its annual Homecoming celebration. The festivities will kick off on Thursday evening, with a parade starting at 6:30 PM, followed by a community pep rally at Lions Park.
This year, the parade will be led by Grand Marshal June Seymour, a beloved high school art teacher who is retiring at the end of the school year. Her many years of dedicated service to the West Liberty-Salem community will be honored during the event.
The Homecoming Ceremony is set for Friday, September 20th, at 6:15 PM at Tiger Stadium, just before the Tigers take on Madison Plains at 7 PM. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant halftime show featuring the Mighty Fighting Tiger Marching Band along with alumni performers.
The weekend’s celebrations will continue with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday evening at West Liberty-Salem.
