According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, on Saturday 23-year-old Zayne Bishop of Bellefontaine was riding his 2003 Suzuki motocross bike in the 900 block of Euclid Street when he was attempting a wheelie.
While performing the maneuver, he hit a manhole cover, causing him to be ejected from the bike.
Bishop was transported to the helipad by Bellefontaine EMS and then transferred to Miami Valley Hospital via CareFlight.
His condition is currently unknown.
He was cited for failure to control his vehicle.
