On Monday, Bellefontaine Police responded to several reports of an intoxicated man.

Officers were first called to the Speedway gas station on South Main Street just before 11 AM after receiving a description of a man wearing a maroon shirt, black sweatpants, and a black Waffle House hat.

This description matched Kenneth Wilkinson, whom officers had spoken to twice earlier in the same shift.

Officers saw Wilkinson walking unsteadily, but determined he was capable of caring for himself and did not pose a danger to himself or the public at that time.

Later, Wilkinson was reported at Dollar General, where staff said he had stumbled into a shelf and opened and consumed items without paying.

He was then reported at Dollar Tree on South Main Street, where staff said he was lying on the ground and then on his hands and knees, looking at air fresheners.

Shortly after, officers found Wilkinson at Speedway.

Due to multiple calls and his state of intoxication, he was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct and transported to the Logan County Jail.
