Gregory Wilson, a 29-year-old Bellefontaine resident, was arrested early Sunday morning after leading police on a foot chase.
The incident began just after 1:00 AM when officers were called to West High Avenue after reports of a dark-colored truck revving its engine and doing burnouts.
The truck was later identified as Wilson’s vehicle.
Officers found him walking along the 200 block of West High Avenue.
When they attempted to approach him, Wilson fled on foot.
Wilson was eventually found on West Brown Avenue, where a citizen alerted officers to the possibility of him hiding under a deck.
Officers found Wilson under the deck but he refused to comply with orders to show his hands, leading to a standoff.
After several commands, Wilson eventually complied and was taken into custody without further incident.
He was then transported to the Logan County Jail.
Wilson, who had three outstanding warrants through the Bellefontaine Police Department, was also charged with obstructing official business.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
