Wilson wins Bellefontaine Intermediate School Spelling Bee

Bellefontaine Intermediate School held its annual spelling bee on Tuesday.

34 fifth-graders competed in the bee, which was held in the gym.

Fellow fifth-graders along with family members were spectators.

In the 9th round, Eva Wilson correctly spelled “torment” to become the champion.

William Campbell was runner-up.

Both students have qualified for the Logan County Spelling Bee at the Holland Theatre on January 17th at 6 p.m.

Wilson will also take an online spelling and vocabulary test in January to advance toward the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Eva is the daughter of Caleb & Karen Wilson.

Campbell is the son of Levi Campbell & Sarah Campbell.

Lindy Martin was the moderator at BIS.

Angie Horvath and Katie Davis were the judges.

Bellefontaine Middle School will host their spelling bee on Wednesday, December 7th at 12:45 p.m.
