Wisener Named Officer of the Year; Jones Citizen of the Year

The Washington Township Police Department recently recognized Sergeant Earl Wisener as Officer of the Year and Washington Township Resident Brian Jones as Citizen of the Year.

Sergeant Wisener has been instrumental to the success of the Washington Township Police Department.

Sergeant Wisener’s mission is to rid Washington Township of any and all drug activity.

The citizens of Washington Township live in a safer, more drug-free community because of the continued efforts of Sergeant Wisener.

Brian Jones goes out of his way each and every time he is asked to assist the police department whenever a need arises.

He currently serves as the Vice President of the Washington Township Police Officers Association and has been instrumental in the success of the association.

From photographing police department events to assisting us with drone operations, Brian has always stepped up to the plate for the betterment of our community.

“Each year, members of the police department vote for who they feel should receive these awards. I feel as the Chief of Police it is important to reward hard work, and dedication and to let our employees and citizens know they are appreciated!” said Chief Michael Thompson.
