The West Liberty-Salem Leadership Council hosted a Veterans Day Breakfast on Tuesday morning, bringing together veterans, active-duty service members, students, and community members to honor those who have served our nation.

The event featured a heartfelt program of gratitude and reflection, highlighted by remarks from Guest Speaker Retired Lt. Col. Jason Douthwaite, who shared inspiring words about service, sacrifice, and community. He also reflected on how important it is for veterans to share their stories and for others to listen.

Guests also enjoyed musical performances by members of the West Liberty-Salem Music Department, as the 2nd-grade class added a special tribute through song.

Breakfast and beverages were generously provided by the West Liberty-Salem FFA, as students and staff joined in expressing their appreciation to the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

The annual event continues to be a cherished tradition at West Liberty-Salem, celebrating the spirit of service and unity within the community.
