A Bellefontaine woman was arrested early Thursday morning after being found unresponsive behind the wheel of her vehicle, according to a police report.

Just after midnight, officers on patrol in the area of West Auburn Avenue and South Springhill Street saw a vehicle in the wrong lane.

When they approached the car, they found Shanna Kreglow, 44, of Bellefontaine, in the driver’s seat, unresponsive but still breathing.

Her foot was reportedly over the accelerator pedal while the car was in park.

Officers noted Kreglow was dazed, confused, and lethargic when she regained consciousness.

She struggled to communicate and exhibited slow reactions.

She then failed field sobriety tests.

Kreglow was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence.

During transport to the Bellefontaine Police Department, she fell asleep multiple times.

Due to her condition, Logan County Jail officials declined to accept her, and she was transported by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for further evaluation.

A blood sample was collected for testing by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Kreglow, who was arrested on Saturday for similar charges, has been issued a citation and is scheduled to appear in Bellefontaine Municipal Court next week.

Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
