On Monday afternoon, Vince Wulf was officially sworn in as the newest Assistant Chief at the Bellefontaine Fire Department.

Family was front and center for the ceremony.

Wulf’s wife and children, along with several other relatives, supporters, and off-duty firefighters, were on hand to witness the moment.

Chief Brian Wilson talks about the importance of family to the department:

Wulf has been serving as Interim Chief since December 29, 2024, and Monday marked the official start of his new role.

After Mayor Dave Crissman read the charge to Wulf, his family helped “decorate” him with a new helmet, badge, shield, and pins.

A longtime member of the department, Wulf has been with Bellefontaine Fire since December 2019.
